The Week Round Up…

August 31, 2018

Is it really days away from September and basically Christmas?  Where has this year gone!  This week was incredibly busy.  On the bank holiday weekend I hung out with Supal, from Chevrons and Éclairs, touring Notting Hill and Holland Park on her AirBnb walk.

Monday I went to a Makers Festival in London, to do some creative writing and learnt how to make seasonal fruit tarts.  Yum!  Wednesday I headed to Hackney, an area of London I am really not familiar with, for a sketching class with 10 week old piglets.  Jenny has upcoming classes with jelly fish, owls and wolves!

English Heritage

Hi Lovelies.  It has been a busy couple of weeks as I started Superlatively LJ’s writing course, ventured out nearly every night to meet friends and tried my hand at some new crafts.   I had a fantastic time last Saturday at Blognic with a group of creative men and women who made prints for wallpaper, designed sewing patterns, created realistic paper birds and were illustrators amongst other things.  My patience was tested at the ceramics studio as the temperatures hit over 35degrees and the clay was challenging to work with.  I’ve been out for drinks with friends most nights this week and am looking forward to working from home Friday so I can sleep in to 9am!

How’s your week been?  It’s hot and bothersome in London and we are all saying ‘we’re not complaining, but a little rain would be nice’!  This week started for me back at Mizuyo’s studio finishing my Kintsugi project.  For my lunch I chose to have an ice cream sandwich by Mister Fitz, the sibling popup of Doughnut Time!  To get out of the heat I headed to The V&A for their latest exhibition which you can read about here.

July, my favourite month of the year.  Mainly because it is my birthday month!  Such a perfect time halfway through the year to restock on my favourite things and the best bit is living in the UK it is in the summer.  This means outside parties, with cool drinks, bikinis and bbqs.  Growing up in Australia and having a winter birthday always made me jealous of others who could go to the water park for theirs.  Although at least I wasn’t one of those that had their birthday in a holiday time and never had a party.  Sad for them!

The Week Round Up…

June 1, 2018

This week round up has a selection of articles, new product launches, a neww podcast and book recommendation.  We just had a bank holiday, long weekend in the UK and I ventured to Haggerston to make films with Xantha and a lovely group of ladies.  The sun shone bright and I continued into the late afternoon traversing across London to Hyde park to meet Momo forgetting to pick up my dry cleaning!  Oh well!
