Are you as obsessed with the Peony as I am? This past weekend I went to Blacker and Moore Peony Farm in Kent to indulge in a little Peony hunt. The farm started as a PHD thesis and soon grew to a supplier of peonies for London and the south east of England. Open to the public near the end of the season you can purchase fresh peony stems and plants at Blacker and Moore Peony Farm. I have never seen peonies so big and smelling so divine. I will not be going back to supermarket peonies!

It doesn’t take long to get to the farm as it is one hour from London by train. Book a cab ahead of time, we were surprised so many of the local cab businesses were booked out (wedding season!). Take a picnic to make the most of it or visit one of the local pubs. The White Horse in Bearsted has good reviews and looks out onto local English cricket grounds. Typical village life in action! If you are driving be patient. This whole area is made of very tiny country lanes, as wide as one car. There will be a lot of reversing into bays and then moving forward again as you get to the farm!
I’d love to hear if you go and what you thought. Let me know in the comments. PF xo
