Weekly Round Up

The Week Round Up…

June 29, 2018

End of June already and everyone is coming out of hibernation.  This week I made a selection of small plates at my ceramics studio, caught up with friends and bar hopped through the night.  On the weekend I spent hours in St James Park having a picnic with some delicious treats from M&S.  The best bit we loved was the roast chicken because as bunch of Aussies used to buying a roasted chicken from the supermarket it was lovely to be able to purchase the same from M&S and chomp down on a leg!Prue and Tim are the most fabulous couple and watching their journeys on British canals is pure bliss.  Find the Great Canal Journeys latest season and previous here on Channel 4.

Confused by gener neautral and pronouns and not sure why it really matters.  A trans woman wrote an open love letter to the NHS about her life experience and tells us why receiving a letter with the title Ms helped her to heal.

I’m obsessed with these simple leather flip flops from New Look.  I bought the black ones to replace my four year old equivalents, the rose pink as part of my sisters birthday present and have been tempted by the gold!

Companies are struggling with keeping millennials staying in jobs.  The guardian wrote an article recently about the issue and the growing gulf in pay between generations.

The Victoria and Albert Museum has a summer exhibition celebrating the life of Frida Kahlo.  Known for her fierce eyebrows and colourful clothing the display details her history alongside details of Mexican textiles.

Looking for something to do this weekend?  Head to Kew Gardens and use my tips to see Temperate House.

Have a great weekend.  PF xo
